Egypt is currently facing a critical energy challenge due to its heavy reliance on fossil fuels, which are in short supply. To address this issue, extensive research has been conducted to explore cleaner and alternative sources of energy. As a solution, there is a proposal to harness the power of the ocean waves' mechanical motion to generate electricity. The concept involves utilizing an electromagnetic field created by the movement of waves. The core of the design centers around a floating device equipped with a magnet. This magnet is housed within a hollow tube that contains coils of wire. As the float moves with the ocean waves, the magnet traverses the tube, inducing a current in the coils. This generated electricity can be utilized whenever there is wave motion. The project entails the creation and assembly of this generator, followed by comprehensive testing to measure the energy produced within a specific timeframe. The outcomes of these tests would be meticulously examined and subsequently presented, accompanied by recommendations regarding the future potential of this design. The electricity generated from this process will be stored in batteries. This stored energy is intended to power various projects in arid regions, thereby contributing to their development. Moreover, a positive outcome of this endeavor is the potential reduction in the cost of renewable energy, which could significantly enhance its overall adoption and utilization.
