Inspiration
Evveland was born because of the need to offer clients in our ongoing HR business, the possibility to attract and recruit talent remotely, during the core days of the pandemic. We developed and successfully deployed our Smart Venue, which is today the basis of our Metaverse.
What it does
The Evveland Smart Venues can be used for multiple purposes, like trade shows, conferences, educational and business events, or art exhibitions and NFT collections. We offer the purchase of a product that is already operational, that has real and immediate utility We offer passive income to our Smart Venue owners that includes staking, rental pool and future resale We offer the possibility to grow, and a long term development and customization roadmap through virtual land minting and virtual building construction.
How we built it
The Smart Venues are built to be mobile first, using a combination of 3d design technologies to create the virtual environment; PHP 8.1 to create the management tools in the back-end; Javascript and WebGl for the front-end and to provide for navigation and interaction. The venues are connected to the blockchain using the Web 3 and Metamask Libraries.
Challenges we ran into
The distributed nature of our development team, which is on three different time zones, and thus coordinating and delivering a working product has been our main challenge. Also, from a usability perspective, being mobile first has meant giving up critical "metaverse-like" functionalities like avatars and voice communications. But as technology advances, so will our solution.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Since our first job fair event, in March 2021, we have maintained a steady path of growth and development that puts us today in the very comfortable situation of launching a Web3 project that has utility from its inception. Our current product is nowhere near what our MVP was, having increased in functionalities, usability and utility. We are already engaging with multiple event producers and getting ready to deploy our Smart Venues NFT collection, which distinguishes from most projects in the space because of its immediate utility across multiple industries.
What we learned
Community: we have the potential to create a diverse, accessible and differential approach that allows us to serve to multiple communities. In order to serve these multiple communities we need to be multi-platform, and thus we should launch our offer in several blockchains. Utility we have to highlight our real utility, through renting, staking and the capacity to generate passive income. Environment our environmental initiatives will have local and global impact, which will be a long term indicator of our success, and a hallmark of our brand.
What's next for Evveland Metaverse
As we deploy our first NFT collection, we want to focus on developing more immersive and interactive experiences, adding avatars, deploying virtual lands and building our Metaverse to be able to attract multiple communities.
