Our Journey in Building the App

What Inspired Us

Our personal experiences inspired us to create this idea. We realized how challenging it can be to stay on top of fitness, meals, and mental health, so we wanted to build something that could make it easier and even fun! The goal was to combine AI, tracking, and community features to help people stay motivated every day.

What We Learned

Working as a team taught us a lot about collaboration. Brainstorming together meant listening to different perspectives and finding creative solutions. On the technical side, we learned a lot about TypeScript, Supabase, and Vite, and how to make them work together to build a functional app.

Turning Our Idea into Reality

Participating in the Ideathon pushed us to take our idea seriously and transform it into a real, working app. This meant facing unexpected challenges, like:

  • Making the AI generate meaningful 30-day workout routines.
  • Integrating features such as meal recommendations, mental health journaling, and progress tracking.
  • Ensuring smooth performance while managing multiple interconnected features.

Through this process, we learned problem-solving under pressure, the importance of teamwork, and how to adapt ideas into practical solutions.

Reflection

This project taught us that creating an app is about more than coding—it’s about understanding users, designing helpful experiences, and collaborating effectively. We’re proud of what we accomplished in the Ideathon and excited to keep improving our app.

Example of a feature we implemented: calculating BMI

$$ \text{BMI} = \frac{\text{weight (kg)}}{\text{height (m)}^2} $$
