Inspiration
We're all avid basketball fans and saw an opportunity to make it easy to access fun stats about players.
What it does
It has multiple functionalities. One is to search any player and see the statistics they had in their last 10 games. In another, you can enter any stat line to see if at least those stats have occurred. Another page allows you to enter a date in history and see the performance on that day.
How we built it
We built a backend using Python and connect to frontend on React using Flask.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges working with React and Flask together because of some of the many pages on our frontend and function calls we incorporated into our backend.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We've made a working full-stack application with many fun features for basketball fans everywhere.
What we learned
We learned to not overestimate the scope of the project we can implement. We also realized that going in with a more detailed plan could serve us well in getting everything we wanted accomplished.
What's next for EverythingHoops
We hope to restyle and redesign our frontend, as well as incorporate a machine learning aspect to generate random statistics and predict wins.
