Other activity recommendation sites are influenced by businesses and advertisement. This stops tourists from accessing the real soul and culture of the area they are visiting.

What it does

Ranks activities in a given radius based on user preferences.

How we built it

A Nuxt.js PWA app using serverless functions hosted on Vercel! We crawl using various apis The Wikimedia API is used to give the user a shortlist of 3 articles that they can pick from which are within walking distance of their location. An AI model analyses the articles to return necessary data.

Challenges we ran into

Training the AI model to understand wiki articles.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The prototype is functional and makes use of AI as well as several APIs which we learnt to use.

What we learned

We learned how to use several APIs in conjunction with one another, as well as how to coordinate backend Python scripts for processing with a Javascript frontend.
