Inspiration

Overwhelmed craving for Tom Kha Gai soup after skydiving in Las Vegas and having to struggle to find that dish. Many many years of late night cravings.

What it does

Ability to search food items and order food items from multiple restaurants at the same time. Intended for showing site visitors deals running nearby. Intended to enable marketing campaigns for restaurants in real time. Intended to show success rate of marketing campaigns in terms of orders/deal-visits. Intended to show live waiting times for dining in at restaurants.

How we built it

Used WooCommerse and Wordpress to build the frontend-user-management system. Lumen micro-service framework for business logic. TomTom GeoFencing API for displaying deals based on site-visitor's location.

Learning how to build RESTful APIs using lumen micro-service. Connecting lumen-microservice and wordpress site using woo-commerce webhooks. Integrating flash sale plugin for individual food items. Being able to build a good starting point to this future business in 20 hours.
