Inspiration

We wanted to create a cozy, magical experience that blends the charm of Cooking Mama–style mini-games with the whimsical fantasy of helping villagers through potion-making. The idea of a friendly witch solving everyday problems felt fun, warm, and full of creative possibilities—perfect for a playful, bite-sized game.

What it does

Every Witch Way is a mini-game driven potion-crafting adventure. Players take on the role of a helpful witch who brews potions for the townsfolk. Each potion requires a unique set of interactive mini-games mixing ingredients, casting spells, grinding herbs, and more to deliver the perfect magical remedy.

How we built it

We built the game entirely online using Google AI Studio, combining AI-assisted development with our own design work. All visual assets were created by us, and we crafted the storyline from scratch to give the game its cozy tone and charming personality.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the biggest challenges were coordinating the different mini-game mechanics, polishing the art style, and making sure the gameplay felt cohesive despite being made up of several small interactions. Balancing simplicity with fun, and integrating everything smoothly within Google AI Studio, also took time and iteration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud that we built a fully playable and visually consistent mini-game experience from the ground up. From designing our own assets to writing an original storyline, we brought a magical world to life with limited tools and time. Seeing the vibe and charm of the game come together is one of our biggest accomplishments.

What we learned

We learned how to use AI tools effectively in the development process, how to create and integrate our own art, and how to shape a cohesive gameplay loop from many smaller moving parts. We also learned how valuable iteration is when refining mini-game mechanics.

What's next for Every Witch Way

Next, we want to expand the variety of potions, add more mini-games, introduce new villagers with unique needs, and deepen the storyline. We also hope to polish the UI, add sound and animations, and explore releasing the game on more accessible platforms.
