Inspiration

Every couple wants to feel close, but daily life gets in the way. Work, screens, and routine can quietly push connection down the priority list. We built Everlove because we believe strengthening a relationship shouldn't require a crisis or a therapist's office. It should be something couples can do together, a little each day, through a nice app that sparks shared moments. We wanted to make it fun and lightweight, so we gave it nice-looking mascots and a warm brand identity.

What it does

Everlove is a couples app that helps partners connect, communicate, and grow closer together. Couples answer questions, play games, take quizzes, and complete guided exercises across dozens of relationship topics, from having fun and building trust to navigating big life decisions (moving in together, having kids, marriage, and more).

After onboarding, a personalized plan adapts to what each couple wants to work on, and daily streaks keep the habit alive. The app nurtures the couple with regular notifications to keep the flame alive ❤️. It's built for any couple, at any stage, in any kind of relationship: same culture or different backgrounds, long-distance or living together, and everything in between.

How we built it

Everlove is built with React Native and Expo, with Supabase powering the backend. Subscriptions and monetization run on RevenueCat, which lets us manage plans, trials, and paywalls across iOS and Android without reinventing that infrastructure ourselves. This let our team focus on the product experience: the content, the interactions, and the moments that bring couples closer. For the Live Ops side, we run on Customer.io.

Challenges we ran into

Relationships are deeply personal, so striking the right tone was one of our biggest challenges. We wanted the app to feel warm and playful, never clinical or heavy, while still handling meaningful topics with care. Balancing depth with simplicity, and building an experience that feels fresh for both partners over time, pushed us to iterate constantly on content and product design.

Localizing the app across a dozen languages while keeping paywalls and pricing accurate everywhere added its own layer of complexity. Localization was probably the most time-consuming part of building the app.

We also had to design our subscription and entitlement logic carefully across iOS and Android, since trial periods and plan changes all need to stay consistent for both partners sharing one relationship, not just one user. Wiring RevenueCat correctly for a two-person account model took careful thought.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud to have built a product that real couples use every day to talk, laugh, and understand each other better.

Also, we're proud that it doesn't sound (too much) like AI ☺️. We care about our users, and we answer every single customer request (yes, with AI, but with a manual check every time).

What we learned

Localizing early sounds smart until you're updating paywall copy in twelve languages every time pricing changes. We're still catching up on that.

Keeping two people in sync, in the same account, on the same plan, turned out to be a much bigger design problem than we expected going in. That's where RevenueCat webhooks and Supabase edge functions came in handy.

What's next for Everlove

We're continuing to expand Everlove's library of questions, games, and guided experiences, while deepening personalization so every couple gets a plan that truly fits them. We'll also improve the gamification experience, add supporting features (mini-tools, mini-games), and build native widgets, a hot trend for couple apps that we're currently missing.
