Our inspiration is to simplify plant care while promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness. As the advantages of indoor plants, such as stress reduction and increased productivity, gain widespread acknowledgment, their incorporation into living and workspaces escalates. However, the labor-intensive nature of nurturing plants often results in their demise, with households losing an average of 7 plants yearly. Our mission is clear: empower plants to flourish autonomously, ensuring longevity while conserving water and preserving our environment.

Evergreen by Reluvate revolutionizes plant care with its comprehensive solution, ensuring worry-free and stress-free plant ownership. By eliminating the need for manual watering, it not only saves on water bills but also provides constant real-time alerts on plant health. Through conservative and sustainable watering practices, it prioritizes environmental conservation. Additionally, its advanced features, including AI-powered disease detection through integrated cameras and inbuilt sensors for humidity, moisture, and temperature settings, cater to owners of all expertise levels. Whether you're a novice or experienced plant owner, Evergreen by Reluvate simplifies plant care, allowing effortless monitoring and growth without any manual intervention.

How we built it🏗️

We built Evergreen by Reluvate using a combination of innovative hardware and software technologies. It boasts a meticulously designed 3D-printed plant pot equipped with water pumps for a watering system optimized for sustainable water-usage. Integrated with cutting-edge Huskey Lens camera self-trained with hundreds of training images using Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision algorithms with a sourced dataset from Kaggle, it uses object classification to detect plant diseases swiftly, ensuring optimal health. Real-time monitoring of humidity, temperature, and soil moisture levels using inbuilt sensors ensures a nurturing environment, while seamless communication via a Telegram bot delivers effortless, automated plant management for owners.

Challenges we ran into🤯

During development, we faced the challenging task of seamlessly integrating diverse hardware and software technologies. Achieving the precision and dependability demanded by our AI disease detection system proved challenging, requiring extensive training and experimentation with different methods. Moreover, optimizing our self-watering system for both water efficiency and plant health, while incorporating additional sensors for humidity, temperature, and soil moisture with real-time updates, posed significant hurdles. Throughout, we remained committed to user-centric design principles, ensuring that users receive real-time monitoring updates via Telegram without ever needing to worry about their plants.
