Inspiration

• We were struggling to find events that was interesting to us, and had to search through instagram everyday.

What it does

• Users input their availability and interests, and we match them with the most relevant events that align with their schedules.

How we built it

• We used HTML and CSS for styling and UI. Then used JS for all of the features, integrating it with Firebase / Firestore to save the events in the database.

Challenges we ran into

• Originally, we wanted to be able to upload course schedules straight from Workday, however there were lots of issues associated with the excel file format. Eventually, we devised a workaround to implement the scheduling feature.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• We're really proud of how the product came out and especially calendar / availability feature. It was really hard to figure out and took a long time to integrate with the databases and the match events. ## What we learned
• We learned how to use Firebase to store information like the event details, and also how to create interactive calendar elements.

What's next for Eventure

• We have some visions for additional features, like friend availability integrations, group notifications, event suggestions close to your current location, and gamification features like streaks for attending events, badges for categories, reward system etc.
