Inspiration
Managing event discovery and ticket booking is still fragmented — most platforms are either too complex or lack real-time reliability. I wanted to build something that felt seamless from the moment you land on the page to the moment your ticket is confirmed.
What It Does
EventSphere is a full-stack event booking platform where users can:
- Browse upcoming events with rich detail pages
- Book tickets and manage bookings via a personal dashboard
- Host and publish their own events
- Experience real-time updates and a fully responsive UI
How I Built It
- Frontend: Next.js + React + Tailwind CSS for a fast, responsive interface
- Backend: Node.js REST APIs deployed on Render
- Database & Auth: Supabase (PostgreSQL) with JWT/NextAuth for secure, protected routes
- DevOps: Git, VS Code, Render for deployment
Challenges I Faced
- Implementing JWT-based protected routing cleanly in Next.js App Router
- Handling real-time state updates across booking flows without race conditions
- Building a clean fallback system for dynamic/missing content across event pages
What I Learned
Deepened my understanding of full-stack auth flows, Supabase RLS policies, and how to architect scalable event-driven UIs with Next.js server components.
Built With
- jwt
- next.js
- nextauth
- node.js
- postgresql
