Inspiration:I am a volunteer service enthusiast, and it is my wish to make an app that can track and record volunteer services, because I have always felt that recording volunteer services online is much better than using paper and pen.
What it does: My app is not perfect yet because I made it online by myself. But this app has two UIs: administrator and participant. Administrators can post events. Participants can sign up.
How we built it: I actually had no experience in app development. So I used programming tutorial websites such as stack overflow and AI to guide me in developing Android apps. This was my first time developing an app in my life. I felt that my first time was okay but not great.
Challenges we ran into: I still can't figure out how to allow managers to see the changes immediately after editing an event.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: I took the first step in my life to develop an app and participate in a hackathon.
What we learned: I learned how to use Android Studio and officially made the app run on an Android phone.
What's next for Events Track: I decided to continue to refine my missing pieces and add live chat functionality.
