Events Ticketing with NFT

Inspiration

In my country (Indonesia), we just had Coldplay holding concert. I saw news that there're people becoming victim of malicious seller that pretends to have original tickets but apparently fake which cause many people who really want to attend the concert unable to enter the venue. I believe this can be solved with Blockchain by converting the ticket into NFT and have user using his/her wallet show the NFT during the concert to enter the venue. I want to at least enable user to register to event and get the ticket as NFT, the latter part when NFT is authenticated to enter the venue is not yet in my current scope.

What it does

1. The app will show list of events from Kintone.
2. User will login with Flow account.
3. Upon login, it will be able to get ticket of the event as NFT by clicking a button (this NFT part is not yet completed and ideally user pays as well with Flow before getting the NFT).
4. Number of ticket that has been purchased and whether user has the ticket will be cached in Redis.

How we built it

1. I use Kintone to store the event list
2. I use Redis to cache number of purchased tickets and whether user already has ticket
3. I use NextJS Flow scaffolding to start creating the UI
4. I use Flow for user to login

Challenges we ran into

1. To overcome CORS, I need to use API Gateway to fetch data from Kintone
2. I start this project late, so I don't have sufficient time to implement the NFT part in Flow.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I only did this project over 2 days and I am proud that I can complete the UI, integration with Kintone and Redis to fetch events and update in Redis backend when user (coming from Flow address) click Get Tickets. With a bit more time, I am sure I can complete the NFT part, perhaps including the payment using Flow as well.

What we learned

1. Kintone and how to fetch data from javascript in browser (we need to integrate with some sort of proxy to overcome CORS, in my case I use API Gateway from AWS)
2. Redis backed by Lambda function
3. Flow blockchain although finally the NFT integration is not finished.

What's next for Events Ticketing with NFT

1. Integrating the Flow NFT when clicking on Get Ticket (currently the Get Ticket only updates Redis backend to store who has already got the ticket using Flow address) - I actually want to implement this before submission but I don't have sufficient time.
2. Integrating payment with Flow to get the ticket.
3. Make the user able to select seat number for certain event.
4. Improve the UI and implement paging and searching when there're more events in kintone.
5. Book more than 1 ticket, then it's user responsibility to transfer NFT to his/her friends ?
