Inspiration:

The inspiration behind Meent stemmed from the desire to transform the ticketing industry by leveraging the power of blockchain technology. As music lovers and event attenders ourselves, we recognized the need for a platform that seamlessly integrates web2 ticketing sites with blockchain, providing enhanced security and empowering both event organizers and attendees.

What it does:

Meent is the ultimate platform bridging web2 and blockchain. It enables the effortless sale of concert tickets with crypto, eliminating the need for web3 development. Event organizers can retain control over ticket sales, add prize options, and tap into the security benefits of NFTs. With Meent, we revolutionize ticket sales and unlock a new era of seamless, secure, and exciting concert experiences.

How we built it:

We built Meent by researching about web2 ticketing systems and blockchain technology. Leveraging our knowledge of secure transactions, user-friendly interfaces, and smart contract integration, we developed a robust platform that seamlessly connects concert ticketing with the power of blockchain.

We use solidity and truffle as tool for building the smart contract environment and testing, use Go for the integration API and Quicknode alongside our custom ipfs client to manage the process for minting and allowing the web2 portals to create the events.

We use chainlink in order to get endpoint calls to our minting endpoint on our API and get the VRF randomness functionality to manage random rewards by purchasing NFTs tickets.

Throughout the development process, we encountered various challenges. Integrating web2 ticketing platforms with blockchain technology required careful planning and implementation. Ensuring seamless and secure transactions while maintaining a user-friendly experience demanded thorough testing and iteration.
