Inspiration
The inspiration behind this Event Management App came from observing how chaotic and time-consuming event planning can be — from coordinating vendors and managing attendees to tracking schedules and last-minute changes. I wanted to create a centralized platform that simplifies event organization for individuals, businesses, and communities alike.
What it does
Throughout the development of this app, I gained deeper insights into:
- Building full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, and Supabase
- Structuring scalable databases for real-time event data
- Creating responsive and user-friendly interfaces
- Implementing authentication and role-based access
- Designing metrics dashboards for event analytics ## How I built it The app was built using:
- Frontend: React + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS
- Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL + Auth + Storage)
- Visualization: Recharts for analytics and graphs
Tools: Bolt.ai for smart integration and module prompts
Event creation and editing
Attendee management
Vendor coordination
Analytics dashboard
Notification system
Ticket generation with PDF downloads
Challenges I ran into
Managing real-time data syncing between modules
Handling image and file uploads via Supabase Storage
Ensuring UI consistency across different user roles
Debugging async operations for metrics aggregation
Maintaining modular and scalable code architecture
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Developed a fully functional multi-role event management system
Integrated an analytics dashboard with real-time metrics
Enabled PDF ticket downloads and image storage
Created a responsive, clean, and user-friendly interface
Achieved a modular design that's scalable and easy to maintain
What I learned
How to integrate and manage Supabase Auth and Storage effectively
Best practices in React component design and TypeScript typing
Techniques to visualize dynamic data using Recharts
Real-world handling of asynchronous data and role-based routing
How to approach full-stack development from planning to deployment
