Inspiration

Our inspiration came from how hard it usually is to find places where you can volunteer and how we wanted to make it easier for both people looking for work and people looking for others to do work.

What it does

Our product connects people to surrounding work environments that are suitable for them and provides an easy way for companies to review their applicants.

How we built it

We built this using JavaFX and SQLite to store data that we received from the user.

Challenges we ran into

The databases did not work at first, but after some tweaking, they began working. Even after we progressed, most of our problems were related to the databases.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a smooth transition between screens and managed to save user data.

What we learned

We learned that creating applications is not very easy and requires a lot of hard work.

What's next for EventHandler

EventHandler will see many progressions and increased functionality. It will also provide easier connectivity between people and companies.
