EventGrid

Inspiration

We got inspired to make this app because we found it difficult to always have to scroll through all the dates just to find one event. By making this app, we can easily find and add events without any hassle. Since we experienced this before, we want to make other people's lives easier and not have to go through the trouble as well.

What it does

Our app uses AI technology to put events that you input into the calendar. There is a second screen that shows your desired application and upcoming events without the dates that you don't have anything planned to make your life easier. You can use any calendar app and link it to our app to then add a widget. Whenever you want to add an event, you go to our app. We have a drop-down that makes it easy to add events since it saves all your previously entered events.

How we built it

We used code.org for this concept design. In the future, we plan to implement it using an app maker such as Android Studio or Xcode.

Challenges we ran into

A challenge that we ran into is that there are a lot of calendar apps that are out there, so it was difficult to create one that is unique and easily usable by people like us.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Making the application in a limited time and working together as a group to brainstorm all the ideas. We're also proud that we were able to complete this without any prior knowledge of AI technology.

What we learned

Through this, we learned a lot about AI technology and how things work. We also learned how hard it was to make an application especially if you're trying to make it suitable for your needs.

What's next for EventGrid

In the future of EventGrid, we plan on implementing the app with the AI and expanding it. We hope to inspire others to use their calendars with this application.
