Inspiration

I was traveling from Boston to Worcester once in train. The journey was a bit slow and I felt drowsy but was afraid that I might miss the stop. There came the idea for the Eventbased alarm.

What it does

It is basically an event-triggered alarm. It takes the desired location as input from the user and goes off when the current location of the user is within a certain radius of the desired location. The user first sees a home screen, with the options to create event-specific alarms. These include location-based, changes in timezone, weather, and sensor-based. The user is also given the option to view their saved preferences. It's hard to keep track of where you are when traveling. Never be confused again, you can set an alarm for when you reach specific locations and when you change time zones. Wouldn’t it be nice to know when it's raining when you’re traveling to a new location? Now you’ll always be prepared. You can be notified when it's raining, sunny or snowing.

How we built it

It was built on MIT App Inventor and we plan on completing the application to the best state that we can.
