Inspiration

Eventverse was inspired by the challenges of traditional ticketing: fraud, scalping, and poor fan engagement. We built a Mantle-powered platform that mints NFT tickets, issues POAP attendance badges, and even supports USSD access for feature phone users, making blockchain ticketing truly inclusive.

Through this project, we learned to deploy secure smart contracts, integrate frontend and backend systems, and optimize real-time verification across devices. Despite challenges with multi-platform UX and cost-effective on-chain operations, Eventverse now delivers secure, transparent, and accessible event experiences for everyone.

What it does

Eventverse redefines event ticketing by combining blockchain security with real-world accessibility. It:

Mints NFT tickets on Mantle for tamper-proof ownership and transfers.

Issues POAP attendance badges to reward verified participation.

Enables USSD access, allowing feature phone users to check tickets and event status anywhere.

Validates tickets instantly via QR codes, preventing fraud and scalping.

Supports decentralized resale with smart contract-enforced rules, ensuring fairness and transparency.

In short, Eventverse turns every event into a secure, transparent, and inclusive experience, bridging Web3 innovation with practical usability.

How we built it

We built Eventverse as a full-stack, blockchain-powered ecosystem designed for real-world events. On the backend, we developed Solidity smart contracts on Mantle Sepolia for NFT ticketing, POAP attendance badges, and secure resale logic, ensuring every ticket and interaction is trustless and verifiable. The frontend, built with React and Vite, seamlessly interacts with the blockchain through ethers.js, providing instant QR-based ticket verification and a smooth user experience. To make the platform truly inclusive, we integrated USSD functionality, allowing feature phone users to check tickets, verify attendance, and participate in events without needing a smartphone. A lightweight backend orchestrates USSD requests, Mantle RPC calls, and synchronizes ticket and POAP data, while smart contracts enforce resale rules, anti-scalping measures, and fair pricing. By combining blockchain, frontend, backend, and USSD accessibility,

Challenges we ran into

Building Eventverse, we faced the challenge of making blockchain ticketing accessible to both smartphones and feature phones via USSD, while ensuring real-time verification and low-cost transactions on Mantle. Integrating NFT ticketing, POAPs, QR scanning, and a resale marketplace across multiple platforms required careful coordination between smart contracts, frontend, and backend. Optimizing gas costs, latency, and security while maintaining a seamless user experience pushed us to innovate and iterate quickly, resulting in a platform that is both inclusive and reliable.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud to have built a fully deployed, end-to-end ticketing platform on Mantle that combines NFT tickets, POAP attendance badges, and USSD accessibility for feature phone users. The platform features instant QR verification, a decentralized resale marketplace, and smart contract-enforced fairness, all integrated seamlessly across frontend and backend. Successfully bridging blockchain innovation with real-world usability, we created an inclusive, secure, and scalable solution that demonstrates practical impact, technical sophistication, and readiness for real-world events — a combination we believe sets Eventverse apart in any hackathon.

What we learned

Through building Eventverse, we gained hands-on experience deploying EVM-compatible smart contracts on Mantle, integrating NFT ticketing, POAPs, and real-time QR verification with a user-friendly frontend. We learned how to bridge Web3 technology with feature phone accessibility via USSD, making blockchain truly inclusive. Tackling challenges like multi-platform coordination, gas optimization, and secure resale enforcement taught us the importance of efficient architecture, modular design, and user-centric thinking. Overall, we learned how to transform innovative blockchain ideas into a real-world, scalable, and impactful product

What's next for Event-vax

we aim to expand Eventverse into a fully cross-chain, global ticketing ecosystem, supporting multiple Layer 2 networks for even faster and cheaper transactions. We plan to enhance USSD functionality for mass adoption in regions with limited smartphone penetration and introduce programmable loyalty rewards tied to attendance history. Integrating AI-driven fraud detection, dynamic POAPs, and predictive event analytics will further improve security, engagement, and fan experience. Our vision is to make Eventverse the go-to platform for secure, inclusive, and immersive event participation worldwide
