Inspiration
We often see random, interesting reels about fun things to do NYC and struggle to get organized and follow through as an action item. We want to build a personal assistant that find events of interest and save to our Google calendar and learn about our decision over overtime.
What it does
It asks you what you are looking for, do the web search, create calendar events which awaits you to accept or reject, store the operational insight and your decisions in the database, and eolves by reading the memory from the database.
How we built it
We used Claude code. We used DeepSeek for LLM.
Challenges we ran into
Connection with Google Calendar and actually send the invite.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The web search is actually successful and is able to generate events in a very presentable way on the web app .
What we learned
Pick more structured starter web URL over less structured ones (Lu.ma over secretnyc.io). Save enough time for debugging.
What's next for Event Scheduler
Make the Google Calendar adding an event successful when accepting the recommendation.
