Inspiration
The inspiration behind the Event Management Web App stems from the challenges faced in organizing and managing events effectively. Traditional methods often lack a centralized and user-friendly platform for both event organizers and attendees. The vision was to create a comprehensive solution that simplifies event planning, promotion, and participation, providing a seamless experience for users.
What it does
The Event Management Web App is a full-stack web application designed to facilitate various aspects of event management. Users can seamlessly browse and interact with events, create accounts, organize their events, purchase tickets, and more. The application aims to replicate and expand upon the features offered by popular platforms like Eventbrite, offering a one-stop solution for event-related activities.
How we built it
The development of the Event Management Web App involved a combination of backend and frontend technologies. The Ruby on Rails framework was employed for the backend. On the frontend, HTML, CSS & React.js with Redux was utilized to create a dynamic and responsive user interface. PostgreSQL served as the database management system, storing and retrieving data related to users, events, and tickets. Matlab for analysing.

Rails being a new language for me its was a challenging part!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite the challenges, the team successfully created a feature-rich and user-friendly Event Management Web App. The implementation of core functionalities such as user authentication, event creation, and ticket management showcases the team's technical prowess. Achieving a responsive design, adherence to security measures, and integration with external services are accomplishments that contribute to the application's overall success.
What we learned
I gained hands-on experience with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, React.js, Redux, and PostgreSQL. Additionally, addressing challenges in security implementation and performance optimization enhanced the team's problem-solving skills. Also using MATLAB for analyze_registered_users is new learning and feature.
What's next for Event Management System
The future of the Event Management Web App involves further enhancements and additions. The team plans to focus on user engagement features, efficient event organization tools, and continued integration with external services.
