• Introducing our innovative solution for event organizers - an all-in-one platform that simplifies the event planning process and enhances attendee engagement! Our project is a one-of-a-kind tool designed to create an unforgettable experience for all event-goers.

• Our application allows event organizers to easily create an event page, complete with all the necessary information attendees need to know. From event details to directions and ticketing options, our platform provides a comprehensive solution for event planning.

• But that's not all! We've taken things a step further by incorporating a unique feature that sets us apart from the rest - the ability for attendees to add their favorite songs to the event's playlist. With just a few clicks, anyone can contribute to the soundtrack of the event, ensuring that everyone's musical tastes are represented.

• Our project is not just another event planning tool - it's a game-changer for the industry. With its intuitive design, seamless functionality, and interactive features, our platform is the perfect choice for event organizers who want to create a memorable experience for their attendees. We are confident that our project will impress judges and attendees alike, and we can't wait to see it in action at future events!

Inspiration 🧑‍🎨

• The inspiration behind building this platform was to help busy individuals and families easily plan and execute events of all types. We noticed that event planning and throwing a party could be a time-consuming and overwhelming task, especially for those with busy schedules.

• We were inspired by our own struggles with event planning and realized that there must be a better way to make this process more efficient and convenient.

• We saw a gap in the market for a platform that simplifies the process of event planning and to build a solution that addresses this need.

• We wanted to create a tool that saves time and effort and makes it easier for people to manage their time.

What it does ⛳

• The platform allows users to establish events.

• The platform also allows users to construct a song playlist in line with those events and can review and modify the list anytime they want to .

• It also allows users to save their favourites for easy access later.

• Users can also create custom song list .

• It also suggests event destination so that it will become easy for the user to select venue.

How we built it 🚧

• The front end of the platform was built using React.js, which allowed us to create a fast, responsive and dynamic user interface.

• We used Auth0 for user authentication and authorization, allowing users to securely sign up, log in, and access their account information.

• For the design and styling of the platform, we used ReactIcons, which provided us with a wide range of customizable icons that helped to create a visually appealing and user-friendly interface.

• We used Git and GitHub for version control, allowing us to collaborate and track changes effectively during the development process.

• We used Github's issue-tracking system to keep track of the progress and tasks.

• We also used Github's pull request system for code review before merging the code.

Challenges we ran into 🩹

• Mobile Responsiveness: With the majority of internet users browsing on mobile devices, ensuring that the event planning website is mobile responsive is critical. The site should be optimized for all screen sizes and offer the same user experience on mobile and desktop devices.

• Security and Data Protection: Since event planning websites collect sensitive information, such as personal and financial data, it's essential to ensure that the site is secure and that users' data is protected. This involves implementing robust security measures, such as encryption and firewalls, to prevent data breaches and hacking attempts.

• Vendor and Supplier Management: Another challenge in building an event planning website is managing the vendors and suppliers who will be listed on the site. It's essential to ensure that each vendor is vetted and verified to provide quality services to the customers.

• Another challenge was in implementing the design and styling of the platform, as we wanted to create a visually appealing and user-friendly interface while keeping it simple.

• There were some challenges while working with Git and GitHub, as it was the first time we were using it for version control. But, we went through the documentation and solved it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of 🏆

• We successfully integrated the event description and songs database, which allows users to easily select their favourite songs.

• We implemented a user-friendly url which can be shareable which lead us to a tech world .

• We successfully implemented user authentication and authorization using Auth0, which provides secure access to user account information.

• We are proud of the design and styling of the platform, which we believe is visually appealing and user-friendly.

• We are proud of the fact that we used Git and GitHub for version control, which helped us collaborate and track changes effectively during the development process.

What we learned 🕯️

• We had learnt how to create web pages, add functionality, and manage database . A critical aspect of building an event planning website is designing a user-friendly and intuitive interface. You'll learn how to create wireframes, design mockups, and implement user interface design principles to create an effective user experience.

• We learned how to use Auth0 for user authentication and authorization, which will be helpful for future projects as well.

• We learned how to design and style a visually appealing and user-friendly interface while keeping it simple.

• We learned how to use Git and GitHub for version control, which was a new experience for us.

• We also learned how to work with Reactjs, React icons, and other technologies we used in the project.

• We learned about the importance of user feedback, testing, and how to implement features based on it.
