Inspiration

The media companies don't have access to unique pictures for their stories, even though there is an abundant amount of pictures in the world. The main issues are that even though the respective images exist, they are either not available to the public or not easy to find in the large pools of archived data. An image is archived with a tag that essentially uses elements from the philosophy of Aristotle, Kant and Newton was therefore conceptualized.

What it does

This program can bring a worldwide image marketplace where people are both bringers of images as well as users. People. The world produces a billion images a day, but only a small amount is available to the public. Most images disappear in confusing archives, where, not even the author expands from there, let alone loved ones. Strangers do not have access at all and know nothing about some interesting family archives. The optical image is divided into three groups in the world: professional environment, amateurs (all mobile phones), and community (professionals + amateurs) The image becomes visible either when the image is promoted on the leading portals or the image is sought out in a familiar environment. All other variants are random and time-consuming because the implementation is empirical so, therefore, most of the archives end up being cemeteries of images. The idea was to create a common global archiving standard which would allow:

  • the creation of a global joint photo archive
  • the opening of one's own archives to the world (without opening the more intimate ones)
  • different communities would find a common language

How I built it

Image is analyzed from 4 perspectives: psychological, philosophical aspects which have to do with the world view, the physical aspect and the combination of the 3 create an optical-symbiotic.

Challenges I ran into

This common language was invented and patented over 10 years ago. This time provides an opportunity for follow-up analysis on the challenges faced in implementing the product.

  1. Subjective. Non-existent sale, idea incompetence of the author.
  2. Objective. Professionals are not interested in a universal solution as long as they see no benefit in practice. They and their clients adhere to empirical habits to the last resort. The most serious problem with amateurs is the volume of work. Finding a perfectly accurate image is ensured by the existence of 10-12 tags. This is a great job for a professional. Not to mention amateurs. They do not bother to attach a single tag i.
  3. The community joins only after professionals and amateurs

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

There are thousands of archiving programs which are all technical solutions, this program is fundamentally based on a principle rather than a technical solution. As a result, the project is U.S. patented which protects the fundamental basis of the idea.

Euroopa Culture Capital 2024, Tartu, planed to promote the respective ideal.

What I learned

An objectively good idea could not be implemented because of human nature. But now it turned out that the idea was born prematurely. Everything related to scaling can be solved with artificial intelligence, and the "old" idea can be applied worldwide today.

What's next for VendelinPAS - Photo Archiving Solution

VendelinPAS gifts those programmers that are willing to make this idea a reality from a technical perspective the usage rights for the respective patent. World programmers! Let's join in creating a global image pool!
