Inspiration

The Immense damage caused by corona virus to the world and its crippling impact on socio-economic-emotional background of people. Corona Virus Patient may not have any symptoms at all. This means patient may unknowingly pass it on to more vulnerable people who may become very ill. So the first steps to avoid Corona spread is Washing hands and keep social distance. To help stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), most hospitals have stopped or significantly limited visits. Hospitals and clinics are very busy testing and taking care of people who may have the virus. So what should you do if you have another health problem and need to see a doctor? Or what if you or a loved one has a health emergency in the midst of the outbreak? We have the solution to this issue. EUMedSquad App in mobile which connect you with Doctors, Caretakers, Pharmaceuticals and other emergency services

What it does

It is a mobile app to help patients get immediate health care service and fast tracking of disease prevention strategies. Unless your situation is urgent, you should probably cancel any medical appointments you can safely put off. When in doubt, patients can use EUMedSquad app for consulting doctor. This will be done with the help of doctors, care takers, emergency service providers. First step to develop the app is to collect details of the health workers based on Zip code and GPS location and doctor details. EUmedSquad app handle COVID related queries and normal health emergency separately. Covid MedSquad: This option can be used for getting details of nearby caretaker, Emergency services, Consulting a doctor online, or getting details of nearby Covid treatment hospitals. If a patient sems to have Covide symptoms Doctors can notify the health workers with patient details in this application. Normal MedSquad: This option is used for normal online doctor consultation. Gynecologist, Physician, Orthopedic, Cardiologist etc. In doctor consultation option list of doctors with Timing and the medium (Chat, Voice call, Video Call) through which doctor can be contacted will be given. Once the Payment done consultation details will be received to Patient in message. You can also book lab test through the app. Lab report will be uploaded to the app.

Pandemic related news or warnings also will be given in page In health files option previous medical consultations, lab reports and prescribed medicines details and payment details will be included.

How I built it

This application is developed with HTML,CSS and JAVA Scripts. For the database of feeds we have used Google Firebase Database.

Challenges I ran into

Main challenge in developing the application to group services to be provided. Pages needs to be simple and user friendly. As part of this application need to collect data from multiple groups like health workers, doctors, Labs, emergency services with Zip and GPS location.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

This application will reduce the hospital visit and make sure the needed people get enough medical support. This application will help to identify covid patients in early stage itself and get notified to health workers. Through this patients can be isolated and can reduce further spread of the disease. Application also help to find care takers nearby which is a very big challenge now.

What's next for EUMedSQUAD

Need to add features to include package for patients or give a family doctor who can be contacted any time.
Need to enhance an alarm to get notified if a Covid + patient is near to you.
New feature to deliver medicines at home from the prescription provided by doctor is also in future scope.
Make the Patient\s health files available in hospitals if patient provide the authorization
