I used the cryptocurrency Ethereum as inspiration to create this project because, since I am new to Web3 and blockchains, I did some research on it and found out about cryptocurrencies. I didn't want to be basic and use Bitcoin, so I stuck to Ethereum.
The website is designed to be a raffle that takes the names and fake wallet addresses of people's crypto wallets and then takes a fee of 1 Ethereum which puts them in a participant's list. You can keep on adding new wallets and people as much as you want. After they are done with adding all the participants, they can generate a winner, which is randomly decided from all the participants. The winner gets all the Ethereum that the other participants had to pay as a fee to enter.
I used basic HTML and CSS for the initial design of the website, and then used JS's web3 to make everything function and have more of a connection to the Hackathon.
Since I am so new to Web3 and blockchains, I couldn't really think of a big and well designed projects, and after reading about project ideas that I could make, I thought about giving up after seeing how complex they were. But I kept researching and found a beginner project idea called " crypto currency lottery" and took a basic Idea from that.
I am proud that I was able to learn and research a bit more about Crypto currencies as well as blockchains and got a basic understanding of it. I hope that I learn more about them deeply in the future
