Inspiration

I recently went through a decentralized voting app tutorial to learn how to build applications using blockchain technology. This was my first exposure to blockchain, and I found it both fascinating and exciting

What it does

The app provides a decentralized voting system that ensures votes are shareable and immutable. It leverages secure algorithms to maintain the integrity and security of the voting process.

How we built it

I have started by following a comprehensive tutorial, which included installing the necessary dependencies and setting up the development environment. We then implemented the features of the voting system step-by-step, following best practices in blockchain development.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was that the tutorial used an older version of some dependencies, leading to minor compatibility issues. We had to troubleshoot and update the code to work with the latest versions.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of successfully learning and applying blockchain technology for the first time. Completing the tutorial and building a functional decentralized voting app was a significant achievement.

What we learned

Throughout this project, we gained valuable insights into blockchain technology, including its principles, how to implement decentralized applications, and the importance of secure and immutable data handling.

What's next for Ethereum voting app

In the future, we can plan to enhance the app by implementing a feature that sends a secure message confirming that a user has successfully voted. This will add an extra layer of security and assurance for the voters, ensuring they are informed of their voting status.
