Eternal Tide

• 

  A music drama based on South Korean Silla mythology and AI, depicting the fateful love of a couple who reunite across a thousand years.

This project was inspired by Silla mythology, specifically motif from the Persian epic 'Kushnameh,' which tells the story of a Persian prince and the Silla princess, Pararang.

It began with the short yet intense love story between a man drifted ashore and a princess. However, destiny tears them apart, leaving only a wish embedded in a wooden doll: “Please let us meet again in the next life.”

Based on this poignant legend, this short music drama film portrays the fateful love of two souls who reunite in modern-day Gyeongju, transcending their past and present lives.

What I Learned

• I learned how to approach the creation of natural-sounding AI dialogue.
• I enjoy creating stories by modernizing, reimagining, or adapting forgotten myths or past Korean stories.
• I also like to embed spiritual or philosophical messages within my stories.

Project Process

• Scenario: I conceived and wrote the scenario myself.
• Storyboard: Planned in collaboration with ChatGPT and Gemini.
• Music: Composed using Suno AI, with lyrics written by me.
• Visuals: Images were generated with Midjourney, and videos were primarily created using VEO 3 or Kling.

Difficulties Faced

• The most challenging part was refining the AI-generated Korean dialogue to make it sound natural and overcome its inherent awkwardness.
