Etch and Sketch

Etch and Sketch is an interactive program that uses the Thalamic Myo and the Oculus Rift to present a unique drawing experience. Our idea was based off of a toy we all had in our childhood, the Etch-a-Sketch, which uses rotating knobs to draw lines in fixed positions. Our hack takes this idea to a whole new level by using rotating hand gestures in real-time to control where lines form. Certain hand positions written into the program can also control things such as changing color or starting and stopping lines, among other features. We also used the Oculus Rift to view the project so it appears as if it is a large whiteboard or other interface. Possible uses include collaboration on projects
