Inspiration

My desire to promote inclusivity and accessibility: Many people with disabilities face challenges in accessing technology and other resources, and creating an app that specifically addresses the needs of blind and visually impaired users can help promote inclusivity and accessibility.

What it does

The idea of an application that uses computer vision and machine learning to provide facial recognition and makeup recommendations for blind and visually impaired users can benefit a wide range of individuals, including blind or visually impaired people, people with low vision, and individuals who are interested in makeup but may struggle with visual impairments

How we built it

  1. Develop a product strategy
  2. Design the user interface
  3. Build the app: Develop the app using programming languages and frameworks that are well-suited for mobile development, such as Swift for iOS or Java for Android.
  4. Implement facial recognition technology
  5. Test and refine: Test the app with a group of blind and visually impaired users to identify any issues or bugs, and refine the app based on their feedback.
  6. Launch and promote ## Challenges we ran into Cultural sensitivity: Makeup and beauty standards can vary widely across different cultures and communities. It's important to ensure that the app provides recommendations that are sensitive to diverse cultural perspectives. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of The desire to innovate in the beauty industry ## What we learned The potential for social impact: The app has the potential to make a positive social impact by promoting inclusivity and empowering blind and visually impaired users to express their personal style and creativity. It's important to be mindful of the potential social impact of the app and to design it in a way that promotes positive values and attitudes. ## What's next for Esteefy me - unseen beaty Assuming that the app has been successfully launched and is being used by blind and visually impaired users, there are several possible directions for future development and growth.
  7. Expansion to other regions
  8. Integration with other assistive technologies: The app could be integrated with other assistive technologies, such as screen readers or voice assistants, to make it even more accessible and user-friendly.
  9. Advancements in technology: As facial recognition and machine learning technology continues to evolve, there may be opportunities to improve the accuracy and speed of the app's recommendations, or to expand into other areas, such as hair or fashion recommendations.
