Inspiration

We are all high school juniors getting ready to apply to colleges and writing essays.

What it does

Essay Helper provides a step-by-step guide on the essay writing process and gives you useful resources on common issues.

How we built it

We first researched common problems students faced when writing essays, then provided resources for students facing those problems.

Challenges we ran into

We were facing issues using the webbrowser API in the IDE, so we were forced to use PyCharm.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to build a working Essay Helper that opened links.

What we learned

We learned how to implement the webbrowser API to make it easier for the user to navigate to relevant links based on the aspects of writing they had trouble with.

What's next for Essay Helper

In the future, we plan on building Essay Helper into a website to provide a cleaner user experience and make it accessible to more students.
