ESP32S3 Touch Screen Smiley Face

Inspiration

I wanted to get back into embedded software, so I took out an old board I had and configured it to work with graphics.

What it does

It prints a menu screen and tapping it reveals a smiley face.

How we built it

C++ in Arduino IDE

Challenges we ran into

Configuring hardware and trying to get visuals to appear at all. Trying to use LVGL library (did not work)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting it to actually work.

What we learned

It is important to keep trying no matter how much you feel like giving up. It is important to take care of your mental health otherwise I would not be at this point.

What's next for ESP32S3 Touch Screen Smiley Face

Turn it into an actual app and put an AI on it.
