Inspiration - The inspiration behind our project, Escapism, stems from a deep desire to address the pressing issues of anxiety and depression that affect countless lives around the world. Witnessing the increasing prevalence of mental health challenges and the lack of accessible support, we felt compelled to create a platform that could truly make a difference.

What it does - ESCAPISM is a comprehensive and compassionate platform designed to provide vital support for individuals grappling with anxiety and depression. It offers a safe haven where users can connect with empathetic peers, schedule appointments with experienced doctors, access a treasure trove of resources, and engage in activities like yoga and meditation. The core essence is to create a nurturing environment that empowers users to navigate their mental health challenges and embark on a journey of healing and growth.

How we built it - The foundation of ESCAPISM was laid with a user-centric approach. We meticulously crafted a seamless user interface using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring intuitive navigation and an engaging experience. The platform's backend was built using SQL, PHP, Python. The subscription model was meticulously integrated to sustain the platform while offering valuable resources for free to a wider audience.

Challenges we ran into - While developing ESCAPISM, we faced several challenges. First one was implementation of chat-bot, integrating an effective and empathetic chatbot proved to be more complex than anticipated. The backend development posed its own set of challenges. Ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly interface was also crucial to give a good user experience.

Challenges we may face-

-Ensuring the privacy and security of user data during video conferencing required robust encryption and meticulous testing. -Curating accurate and helpful resources demanded extensive collaboration with mental health experts to ensure their quality and relevance. -Striking a balance between free and subscription-based content was another challenge, ensuring both accessibility and sustainability.

Accomplishments that we're proud of - One of our proudest accomplishments is creating a holistic platform that seamlessly combines community support, professional guidance, and educational resources. Moreover, we believe building a supportive and empathetic community within the platform reflects our dedication to fostering a positive user experience. Apart from that, successfully implementing an empathetic chatbot that provides genuine support to users facing anxiety and depression stands as one of our proudest achievements.

Progress Tracker Integration: Understanding that tracking progress is essential on the journey towards better mental health, we are developing a progress tracker feature.
Subscription-Based Model: To ensure sustainable support and continuous improvement of our platform, we are planning to introduce a subscription-based model.
Enhanced Resource Repository: Our commitment to providing valuable resources remains unwavering. We plan to continually expand and refine our resource repository, offering an extensive collection of articles, podcasts, guided meditation sessions, and more. These resources will cater to a diverse range of needs and preferences.
