Inspiration I wanted to create a maze world but ended up creating a Unique Procedurally Generate Maze spawner asset for the Mini-Challenge and a Dynamic Colour changing Sky controller Skydome There's a Github tutorial for each asset.

How we built it
Coming from a Unity background as a hobbyist, it was an adjustment learning how to build the project. I ended up having to focus a lot on reading the documentation, so decided to create tutorials to learn how to create what I wanted. Challenges we ran into I had big ideas. but I had a lot to learn. I wanted to create a world but ended up focusing on the tutorials as I wanted to have a deeper understanding of the documentation. Adapting to TypeScript. Writing up the steps for the tutorials was more complicated than I expected it to be.
Transitioning away from Unity and wrapping our heads around new tools and workflows.
Limited access to a Windows computer, which restricted testing and development flexibility.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Picking up TypeScript and making real progress with it in a short amount of time.
Successfully creating two interesting tutorials and assets
Adapting quickly to new tools outside our usual development environment.
What we learned
My skills have improved. I can confidently make my own scripts and assets. It's definitely getting easier to build things using the Horizon World Editor. I am excited to finally build some of the ideas I have now. Even with limited resources, a lot can be accomplished with persistence and focus. I hope there is another Hackathon soon! :-)
What's next for Escape actually creating a playable world. Introduce power-ups and hazards to make the gameplay even more dynamic. Improve the objects designed for a more immersive experience.
