Inspiration:

The concept of a post-apocalyptic jailbreak inspired the creation of this world. The gritty and high-stakes environment of escaping captivity in a devastated setting drew from various media in the survival and dystopian genres, blending tension and exploration into the experience.

How We Built It:

The project was developed using TypeScript and tools provided by the Meta Creators Program. The team collaborated closely, with Nick contributing by designing custom pipe models using primitives and variations, as well as assisting with texturing, debugging, testing, and sound design.

Challenges:

One of the biggest challenges was mastering TypeScript to its fullest potential, particularly for complex gameplay mechanics. Overcoming this required thorough research, extensive trial and error, and hands-on experience to refine the implementation.

Accomplishments:

We are especially proud of the immersive atmosphere, the detailed level design, and the engaging gameplay mechanics. These elements come together to create a world that feels both dynamic and cohesive.

Next Steps Looking ahead, we aim to deepen the experience by expanding TypeScript functionality, addressing bugs, and incorporating new features through iterative playtesting and development.
