Inspiration: This was inspired by our current events and the need for fun, interesting stories to explain them to kids.
What it does: It is an entertaining story that relates directly to what we're going through.
How I built it: Very quickly
Challenges I ran into: I only found out about the contest a couple days ago. The entire thing was written in that time.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of: Finishing.
What I learned: This is my first attempt at middle grade. I learned I can do it.
What's next for Escape From COVID-19: It needs professional editing and an illustrator.
