Inspiration

We during our early years in O'level had discovered a great way to learn how to actually study efficently and make sure that everything we learnt stayed in our heads as Long-term information. It was popularized by Richard feyman and I think that modren day way's of learning with AI just make you dumber as AI just gives you everything in a plate and in some cases even twists it's answers to please , i mean why wouldnt it ; it was made that way. So in order to combat that for the younger generations that will grow up with AI we felt this would be a great way to use AI while actually challenging your brain and not being spoon fed info.

What it does

Soo its basical a Chatbot just modified into a bot that produces JSON that we structure into question to display as options and some times just straight up pass text. We use prompt engineering ( as we cant fine tune models - not yet at least ) to make sure that the model always ask question that are wrong in a way so that the student corrects them and in case that the main chatbot ( which always supposed to come to wrong conclusions ) and the student both mess up a concept a 3rd supervisor agent comes in to correct them ( I know that you might think that could have been done using the main agent , but i think it's more cool and it also stops us from having to add stuff like correct the user when they teach you something wrong as that would somehow result in the bot failing its student/ pupil roles )

How we built it

I will be honest we used a lot of AI and frankly we dont know that much of coding but what I and my team focused on was not the syntax as that the agent /AI can do but the architectural thinking ( daam thats a big and fancy word ) behind the product so that we can build a sense of taste that the AI cant replace just like how great designers and artist can never be replaced , you can copy something to only 99% and that 1% is where people exceed ( i made this quote up btw ). On the actual development procedure ; I first talked to codex for a long time to clarify the vison and then at the end AI created a PRD.m , which I then passed in a new chat due to a plague called "hallucinations" and then I created a lot of other docuements such as Design.md , Architecture.md and Task.md to begin the Spec Driven Development journey ( it was just prompt and pray 😭😭).

Challenges we ran into

I used GPT-6 astra in 5 different session to complete 20 tasks covering the whole app and at the end i got a landing page and an app with a half finished user flow and the main feature not even working and this all happened because i didnt test each task's completeness and didnt account for AI fugging up. SO i went screen by screen and fixed things and also did a huge sub-agent cordinated analysis of the codebase as to what was done and what was still pending. the main thing was bad user flow like even i couldnt undertand what to do next , how would a 5 or 10 year old compare. so i fixed that and most importantly the AI part was not working so i had to fix that. I didnt add cache so please dont spam my endpoints 🙏🙏

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we am proud that we were able to complete and more so that we were able to come up with a great idea ( at least that's what we think ). I am also proud that i could get more practise in learning new things like Agents pass a json and the screen renders differently , which we could have used but that was not worth the hassle in such a time span and all of this was during my assessment in collage so idk how i got this done..

What we learned

one of my team memeber learned git , i learned how to trust my team members ; going into this i though of myself as a know it all hot shot but when my team memeber ( Hadi ) made the website better than my i learnth that i am not as good as i think so yeah that is character development . i think due to AI doing all the work i didnt learn as much but this why we built Errby so yeah i guess it goes like the saying " you become what you hate"

What's next for Errby

havent really thought about , we might turn itno a SaaS or a non-profit to help us with our collage applications , but we dont know what the future holds for us so we will see when the time comes

*this is actually my first time writing markdown so i hope it's good and i didnt use AI cuz i actually whanted to stand out and express me and my team as person not as lines of code and UI *
