Inspiration
We were inspired by the gap between assistants that remind people what to do and technology that actually helps them get things done. Everyday responsibilities like rescheduling deliveries, managing appointments, and handling returns can become overwhelming when they involve multiple steps. We envisioned ErrandProof as an intelligent, accessible AI agent that transforms natural conversations into meaningful action, handles obstacles, and verifies outcomes. With Alexa+ as the conversational interface, our goal is to make everyday life simpler, reduce mental workload, and make technology more helpful and inclusive for everyone.
What it does
ErrandProof is an AI-powered assistant designed to turn everyday requests into actionable, trackable tasks. It helps users manage deliveries, appointments, returns, and other responsibilities through natural conversation. It plans multi-step workflows, requests approval before important actions, tracks progress, handles failures, and verifies completion instead of simply setting reminders.
How we built it
We designed ErrandProof around a conversational AI workflow that understands user intentions, breaks requests into smaller steps, and coordinates tools to complete tasks. The planned architecture includes an Alexa+ conversational experience, an agentic workflow, service integrations, persistent task tracking, and completion verification. A prototype can use simulated services to demonstrate the complete workflow without requiring access to real-world provider APIs.
Challenges we ran into
One major challenge was designing an assistant that does more than generate responses. It must distinguish between planned, attempted, and completed actions, handle unavailable services, and recover from failures without misleading users. Another challenge was balancing automation with user control, especially when actions involve appointments, deliveries, or personal information.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We developed a concept focused on solving real everyday problems rather than simply providing another chatbot. We are proud of ErrandProof's emphasis on task completion, reliability, accessibility, and user trust. Its central goal is to help people spend less time managing responsibilities and more time on what matters to them.
What we learned
We learned that building a useful AI agent requires more than a powerful language model. Reliable tool integration, clear task states, failure handling, user approval, and outcome verification are essential. We also recognized the importance of designing accessible, natural interactions that reduce cognitive effort.

I dont really know but yeah this is good idea
