The project called ERICA (Emergency Room Intelligent Computer Assistant) is created to reduce patient waiting times in hospital emergency rooms and enhance treatment efficiency for doctors. When a patient arrives at the hospital, they provide their symptoms to a nurse at the counter. Our system utilizes an LLM (Large Language Model) to generate probable diagnoses, their ICD codes, and potential follow-up measures such as CT scans. The system also ranks patients by urgency level, ensuring that those in critical need receive faster care. To meet all legal requirements, the doctor is involved in all steps by supervising the decisions and approving them.
