Work Space Equality Employers should hire based on skills. We want to make the hiring process blind in that employers can't see applicants' race, names, or any other personal information that may cause implicit biases. We hope to level the playing field for everyone seeking for jobs.

What it does

  1. Allow applicants to submit résumés to companies of their choice without revealing some of their personal information
  2. Provides a platform for employers to view and manage applications
  3. Allow applicants and employers to keep in touch through the hiring process. Employers won't need to communicate through emails, which can expose applicants' personal information.
  4. Allow employees to look up other employees and view their skills and experiences

How we built it

  • We used SAP Build for prototyping
  • we then built it using UI5

Challenges we ran into

  • Understanding the new UI5 within the amount of time

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Successfully creating 2 UIs which are able to show how employers and employees would see their applications

What we learned

§ Learn how to use UI5 as a prototyping tool § Discrimination can come in many ways § There are ways to consciously diminish implicit biases

What's next for Equality Hires
