even though the EEOC has executive order #11246 is set in place for affirmative actions...many labor unions have court ordered hiring and referral halls...women get bypassed....these computerized systems should be linked to the dept of labor....for statistics and to draw red flags...as it stands today many women in the union building trades dont get hired first to be laid off loose all benefits....technology is outdated and not upto date..lots of loopholes and holes in the system....just like a drivers license..should be linked..all states are in the system..this is a nationwide problem....women need equal pay for same job they can do like a man...we lack promotions and opportunities...we get bypassed...most all jobsites are either federrally funded...or funded by DASNY or by the FTA....many funds....but the union trades women are not getting our fair share....there is a 6.9% affirmative goal..we served a 4 or 5 year apprenticeship we are journeywomen.....we need technology to move foward and laws to be enforced.....
