One month ago, the issue of institutionalized racism was thrust into the public eye with the tragic murder of George Floyd. This devastating death led to a massive wave of protests and reforms as people fight for justice. Our team chose to tackle this issue, the issue of discrimination. However, we realized it was too big and chose to instead focus on one of the issues of workplace discrimination. Our website, EquaWorld, is meant to make it easier to combat discrimination. With information about how to report it, useful laws protecting you, and a list of lawyers you can go to for help, this website is the one-stop website for reporting discrimination in the workplace. We built this website using HTML and CSS. We all learned more about HTML, ranging from creating jumps in websites to creating boxes using CSS. One of the major challenges we faced was making it unique. While there are many websites that tell you similar information, it is rare to find one that contains all the vital information. Another challenge was a more fundamental one, what should we build. We all wanted something different it seemed and creating an idea that all of us agreed with was a struggle. Another struggle was time zones as one us lived in a different part of the world as the others. This led to only 3 of us being able to do the video.
