AgriTool was inspired by the need to bridge the gap between traditional farming practices and modern agricultural technology. The goal was to create a comprehensive platform that empowers farmers and agricultural professionals with real-time insights and decision-making tools, enhancing productivity and sustainability.
What it does
AgriTool is a digital platform that integrates real-time field monitoring, data-driven insights, and decision-making tools. It provides a unified dashboard for overviewing fields, climate, water resources, and reports. Key features include:
- Field Management: Tracks crop health, yield forecasts, and historical performance.
- Climate & Environmental Analytics: Monitors temperature, precipitation, and extreme weather alerts.
- Water Resource Optimization: Manages surface water, groundwater, and irrigation schedules.
- Automated Reporting: Generates and shares reports for yields, soil analysis, and weather data.
- Interactive Tutorials: Offers video guides for tool navigation and data interpretation.
How we built it
AgriTool was built using a responsive HTML/CSS/JavaScript frontend with a card-based UI. Data synchronization is achieved through localStorage and event-driven refreshes. The platform is designed to be mobile-first with offline capabilities. Key modules include:
- Fields: Health status, yield tracking, media uploads.
- Climate: Temperature/precipitation analytics.
- Water: Resource inventory and irrigation management.
- Reports: Customizable export and sharing.
