Inspiration

Climate change is a problem that many people are aware of; however, our lifestyles are not changing as much as they can to help the problem. Many government leaders have spoken out about it, but are not making a huge difference in how they run their country. We decided to create a website to show the change that has to be made to adapt and mitigate to climate change, and allow people to post tweets about climate change.

What it does

It is a forum for people to tweet about climate change to better educate themselves, and it allows people to see the difference between government official tweets and the reality of how they run their country.

How I built it

We built it by creating a website using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and we web scraped quotes and statistics from the internet.

Challenges I ran into

The website took a while to build, and we were not able to create a Domain for it.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We were able to successfully create the website with and create tweets, tables, and graphs.

What I learned

I learned how to web scrape in a time crunch and my partner learned how to code a website well very quickly.

What's next for EnviTweet

We hope to finish the website with the tweets, graphs, and tables on them. We hope people use it as a platform to write their thoughts about climate change.
