A look at the rushed homepage. Basic stuff.
Inspiration
My inspiration was the degrading nature of our world, in a time of deadly wars and depleting ice caps, I think on the bright side and try to bring the world together to heal the earth, nature has previously shown tremendous improvement from small nudges and I think that reinventing the wheel for a better future is the way forward.
What it does
my project is a place for people to pitch and idea and their idea to be publicly visible to all who can realise that idea.
How we built it
Due to my limited knowledge, I have kept it simple and used bootstrap and html and js in this project the project has no backend for simplicity.
Challenges we ran into
Due to updates in bootstrap and its transition to JS I was not able to use the regular syntax as it had changed, so I had to look up to the docs. Due to the very limited time that I had, I couldn't finish the project or achieve what I wanted to with my thought. I had plenty of time, but due to, my circumstances I was away from my laptop and couldn't contribute to my project idea. I did this in 40 mins.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I was able to get somewhere and had a deliverable to show, even though it remains unfinished.
What we learned
Time management, importance of a team, and how to approach a hackathon, I had knlowdge of git and GitHub prior to this as I contribute to Open Source.
What's next for EnvironmentSocial
lots of stuff even after this hackathon, hopefully I'll make a JS based website using react or next.js and implement my idea.
