Inspiration
I'm creating a Gardening Club in my school and the environment has always been my passion.
What it does
A clicker button to see if you can keep up with the timer, most will not be able to.
How we built it
I built it primarily through the usage of my previous knowledge but by also looking at resources on Stack Overflow to help me out when I needed it.
Challenges we ran into
The timer was the hardest part, I didn't know how to make it work so I understandably searched up how to create one.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I think the method in which I create awareness through the usage of a ticking timer and the facts being presented to the viewer is effective. The reason for this is because 18 trees a second may sound like a little but after 60 seconds it reaches 1,080 trees. You'd have to click 1,080 times just to keep up and this timer never ends.
What we learned
I learned that through trial and error, I can make anything in a matter of hours even with my basic skills.
What's next for Environmental Awareness
The next step after raising Environmental Awareness is action. All this awareness would be in vain if nobody did anything about it. So as a collective society, we should approach the ways we do things in a way that's sustainable for the earth.
