Inspiration
Over the past couple of years, people have been staying home due to the influence of the pandemic. As a result, the environment had a chance to heal. Now that the pandemic is finally starting to end, we need to make sure that we can protect the environment. This survey will inform people of their impacts on the environment.
What it does
This is a digital survey that enhances the user's understanding of their impacts on the environment. With the information entered through the form, the survey provides basic information on the user's impact on the environment and calculates a number based on the input. Furthermore, there are many links that are provided to educate users about the environment.
How we built it
Using a platform and language that was taught by the staff members on Discord, I created this survey to enhance a user's understanding of the environment. With HTML, CSS, and Javascript, I coded everything on atom.io.
Challenges we ran into
Due to the limited time and experience I had, this was a challenge. It was difficult to grasp everything that was taught through the workshops within a couple of hours. There were many trials and errors, but eventually, I prevailed. Among the many difficult problems I had to face, this was a learning experience for me.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is my first hands-on experiment with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Through this experience, I learned how to use these elements together to create a mini-survey that I'm proud of. In fact, this is my first hackathon.
What I learned
Even though it was difficult to understand the coding languages, I had enhanced my knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. This project gave me inspiration and ideas for my future projects.
What's next for the environment survey form
If I had more time, the survey would include more information, questions, and interactive options. It would be possible for better designs and an overall enhanced experience for the survey.
