Inspiration

We were inspired by the sheer amount of food being wasted each year

What it does

It has a grocery tracker that warns users when their foods will expire and also gives recipes to use those foods.

How we built it

We used what we learned in the UI/UX portion of CS club in GitHub to draft the backends of our tracker and we then implemented this in Figma to create a more interactive interface. We also used an API called Spoonacular to find the recipes.

Challenges we ran into

We were confused on how to use an API but we watched YouTube videos to learn.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Two of our team members are in the SBHS Robotics team and all of us are currently enrolled in AP Computer Science A. We are all very passionate about coding and we hope to make a change in the world through computer science.
