Google Alpha Earth datasets,
What it does
Prompt it for llm generated research and data parsing, with built in datasets to generate relevant locations. Returns a summary of the environmental issue and call-to-action charity links for the user to look into. Implemented a sharing feature to spread the word
How we built it
Pizza and Tears, T3 tech stack with next.js, FastAPI backend with gemini api calling
Challenges we ran into
The original unfiltered data was too big to handle and we had to pivot into looking at other data sets and using gemini search for relevant responses, couldn't find a good spot to sleep in the dude - also a debugging nightmare. Skipped as many prod checks as possible to get it deployed.
