Inspiration

Our mission is to have an organization with full focus on students from across the world, and their needs. Seeing impoverished and undeveloped countries with limited access to education inspired us to be the change we wanted to see, and start this project.

What it does

Growth in education in recent times has stagnated. And so has its outreach. At Enumerate: Global, we wish to change this from the source: the lack of free education. While western and fortunate communities thrive with funded access to primary and secondary level education, low-income groups and communities abroad struggle to gain this equal privilege. Our goals are the following: provide affordable hardware to students across the world, create applets and other educational software which will cater to diverse learning needs, from translation to interactive learning practices, which we hope to “bridge the gap” between traditional and digital education. And, we wish to use libraries as the medium for this change, to distribute hardware and foster community.

How we built it

Using Figma and planning tools to be used like React.js and node, we envision a clean website and application hub to be used.

Challenges we ran into

It was quite difficult figuring out the outreach of the app. We asked ourselves, how would we apply this to the real world? How could we do this reasonably? Would everything be possible?

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of coming up with this idea as it feels like it has a lot of potential. With the rise of markets and technologies that require educational background, it seems that this idea could bring about more skilled thinkers and learners.

What we learned

As a team, communication and planning is important. We used our own skillsets to design and plan, as well as drafting and recording our pitches in a step by step process. We also learned basics of design and digital art. It's important when creating a project to have an idea in mind for our goal, and by learning Figma, we were able to do so.

What's next for Enumerate: Global

In the future, we hope to have this application and project up and running. We believe that education and technology are both important assets to society, and we hope to see this in action in the near future.
