Inspiration

My inspiration was just finding a way to promote the AI music I created. I felt the music was an inspiration and sounded good, and I wanted other people to hear. I wanted to create a world where people felt like they could connect to the artists who created the music. I want to kind of bring an atmosphere like that. That was the idea. I also wanted people to just have fun and do different things while listening to music.

What it does

It's just a world where people can explore, play music, play mini games, and listen to great music from Entertune Records label. Music is added weekly.

How we built it

It was built mainly using the Horizon Desktop editor, but testing was done in VR

Challenges we ran into

Bugs from the Horizon editor. Also, issues with the generative AI coder on Horizon Worlds are constantly making mistakes, making objects not work, etc. Also had issues with scripts being removed completely from the world. Had issues and still having issues with the vertex count, leading to slowness and bad performance.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Things we are proud of this that, between both Entertune stage and Entertune mansion, the worlds we created so far for Entertune World, we have had over 200 visits. I was able to run one event and had 24 interested, and currently running another event with 12 people interested so far. I even met someone while testing the world, and she enjoyed the world very much. She loved the music and wanted to know where she could save them. She said she would introduce the world to all her friends. It's small victories like that that keep me motivated.

What we learned

Learned about the importance of keeping vertex count low to optimize performance. Also learned that it's best to restart the Horizon worlds desktop editor if scripts go missing, as the scripts are backed up on the server. Also learned that creating connected worlds for new additions is the best and most efficient way to expand the world.
